Inter-club visit to Minnamurra Lions for Lawn Bowls at Jamberoo - 10 March 2015
A depleted number of 7 Figtree Lions made their way to Jamberoo for our annual bowls visit to Minnamurra Lions. This year the timing coincided with many Figtree Lions being away in Thredbo enjoying the annual social trip. It did rain again but Jamberoo has lights so after the meal and the rain stopping we were able to let a few go thanks to the lights installed at Jamberoo. Again no scores were recorded but my impression was that our standard had improved since our practice in January! (Posted by KRSH 20/3/2015)

Inter-club Visit with Minnamurra Lions at Jamberoo - 8 April 2014
Ten Figtree Lions joined 14 from Minnamurra Lions to try their skill at lawn bowls at the Jamberoo Bowling Club followed by a 2 course meal - pavlova for dessert! The teams were made up by a random selection from each club so the competitive juices flowed at the personal level. The scores were not recorded so everyone can made up whatever story they like! Even some experienced bowlers managed to get the bias wrong and invade the adjoining game. All was forgiven. A 5.00pm start was necessary due to the finish of daylight saving and that meant most were home around 9.00pm - an early night! (Posted by KRSH 9/4/14).
